We are all Volunteers
All the members of Tyabb CFA are volunteers. Without volunteers our Fire Brigade wouldn’t exist. We have been a part of the community for over 60 years and we are a constantly looking for men and women to help us in the following areas:
- Firefighters – Daytime, Weekdays
- Fire Prevention
- Community Education
- Brigade Administration
- Communications
- Fundraising

Training
CFA volunteers receive nationally recognised and accredited training courses that can be beneficial in both personal and employment environments.
You don’t need to have experience to join the Brigade. We will provide you with the skills you need depending on the role you choose. It may include:
- Basic Fire Ground Practices
- Pump Operation
- Fire Safety Awareness
- Radio Communications
- Breathing Apparatus
- Leadership Skills
- Community Education
- Administration
All CFA members are fully trained before attending fires or other incidents.
What's the Commitment?
Your level of commitment is up to you. The more members we have the more we can share the load!
Your level of involvement will depend on your personal availability. Commitment to the Brigade simply requires time and skills that you can afford to give. |
