The Tyabb Juniors Development program is now in full swing after starting up midway into the 3rd school term of 2007 and having registered several Juniors in the program with varying ages from 11 right through to 15.

We have a great group of individuals who are very polite and courteous and work together great as a team, these things they have learnt since being in the program.

Some of the activities the juniors have learnt and participated in are a group agreement where they chose their own rules and consequences, as well as some vital minimum firefighting skills such as map reading, radio communications, operating a pump on a fire appliance rolling and bowling of hoses and their use of them.

Some activities coming up in the 2nd term include safety and survival, and a group training day with other brigades to be held at a purpose built training campus under the supervision of professional instructors.
